Eduard Zetsche (Vienna 1844 - Vienna 1927)

Eduard Zetsche worked as a banker first and studied under Robert Russ and his friend Emil Jakob Schindler the technique of watercolor. In the years of 1874 to 1879 he was a student at the Wiener Akademie under E. Peithner-Lichtenfels. From 1879 until 1881 he studied in Düsseldorf under E. Drücker. 1881 he moved back to Vienna and became a member of the Wiener Künstlerhaus.

The main subject of his paintings were landscapes of the the surroundings of Vienna, the Wachau, the Waldviertel, of the region of Northgermany.
